Book Reviews: For Romance Lovers of All Stripes (Over 18 please)

When I started out this year I just had two goals: read a shitload of books and keep track of them in a very cool, very trendy bullet journal. I bought myself a tiny little photo printer and went on my merry way. I even bought tiny gold stars to affix below the cover pic (I was able to keep up that procedure all the way through June, impressively. Now I just draw stars.) What I did not anticipate was that I would want to talk about them.
Not sure why that didn't occur to me. What are writers for if not shouting their opinions into the void? Few of them are content with the void for shouting, and I suppose I must count myself among them.

I don't know if anyone will care about these reviews. What I do know is I read a STUNNING amount of books in a month (on average, between 20-40) and many of them I would consider to be complete diamonds in the rough. A good portion are from Kindle Unlimited, which I read completely free. And they deserve to be known.
Therefore, I embark on my journey of sending my unsolicited opinions onto the internet. There are only a few things you need to know:
The genre I read in is mostly romance, though I read contemporary, fantasy, historical, science fiction or any other subgenre therein. Yes, that includes monsters and the people who love to fuck them.
That said, the majority of these reviews are for adults. Hence the over 18 warning. Like any gifted reader, I read my first inappropriate novel in middle school, so I'm not going to pretend that's the only audience these books may find, unfortunate as that may be. Regardless, here readers will get the rundown on whether these books reflect healthy relationships and enthusiastic consent, because I don't finish books that don't.
My opinion is highly subjective, but as a reader, I have a good sense for what makes a good story. I wrote some books myself, and you can be the judge of how successfully I accomplished that aim.
I enjoy a large variety of stories, and I'm happy to feature writers who are trad or indie published or otherwise. Just so long as it's a good story.
I think that above covers it! So pull up a cozy chair, your tea or coffee, and let me wade through the ocean of offerings out there and let you know which catches were worth bragging about. And as always, let me know if you agree or disagree.
